Another interactive feature within the Repair section is within the Diagnostic Trouble Codes Section. In the left window pane select the plus (+) symbol next to Diagnostic Trouble Codes. For the example we are using a 2000 Ford Escort. Next, we selected 2.0L L4 VIN 3 Auto (Figure 1).

Note: The subcategories under Diagnostic Trouble Codes may differ based on the car you have selected.
After the right pane refreshes, you will see an extremely long page of Diagnostic Trouble Codes (Figure 2). You can either scroll through this long page or you can select a Trouble Code from the drop-down box in the upper right corner (Figure 3).
Note: For vehicles older than 1990, Trouble Codes may not be listed. If there are Trouble codes, they will be listed on the page and you can 'Click to Enlarge' to an Adobe Acrobat PDF format and the drop-down feature will not be available.

Once you have selected a Trouble Code the page will jump to that code and the content will now be at the top of the right pane. From here you can read the content, click on the Details links and access all the information for the selected Trouble Code (Figure 4).
You may also Print this code data. When you select Print this code data a printer friendly window will open (Figure 5). Select [Click here to print this window]. This will prompt your system to open its print window where you will select the printer you wish to print to. Finish by selecting Print.
Caution: If you select the Print button on the top navigation bar or in the left pane, this will print the ENTIRE list of Trouble Codes which can be many, many pages! (See Printing for more information.)
